<div>I’d love for you to contribute to the Animal Medical Center, an organization dedicated to providing compassionate care to our furry friends and advancing veterinary medicine through cutting-edge research and education. I've always admired their dedication to animal welfare, and I believe that together we can make a meaningful impact.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When my cat, Meeko (that's her in the picture) was terminally ill, the Animal Medical Center treated her with compassion, care and love - like she was their fur baby - and they made her passing as peaceful as possible - they are a great institution, staffed by wonderful professionals and they deserve your support
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your support helps Animal Medical Center make a difference by contributing towards efforts like:
</div>
<ul>
<li>Ensuring access to essential veterinary services for animals in need.
</li>
<li>Advancing clinical research to improve animal health and care practices.
</li>
<li>Providing educational opportunities for aspiring veterinarians and veterinary technicians.
</li>
</ul>
<div>By donating, you’ll be celebrating not just my birthday, but also the lives of countless animals who rely on organizations like this for support. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. Thank you for considering this special way to celebrate with me!

<div><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;font-size:medium;white-space:normal;">As the President of BCTGM 390G, I am proud to stand alongside nearly 150 of my dedicated co-workers who have shown immense courage and resilience during our two-month-long strike. We're fighting for the right to be treated with respect, to preserve worker-friendly language, and to keep providing for our families with a fair contract. Enduring severe heat, thunderstorms, and the loss of essential supplies, we have remained steadfast in our commitment. Most strikers have worked for International Fragrances &amp; Flavor(IFF) which is formerly Dupont for nearly two decades and are highly disappointed and feel disrespected by what has been done to them after working relentlessly during the pandemic. Many of our strikers are taking up odd jobs to make ends meet, but it is not enough during these trying times. We humbly seek financial assistance as we stand united to preserve our rights and the well-being of our families. We appreciate any support, as well as your thoughts and prayers.</span>

<div>Thank you for checking out our GoFundMe to help our friends Issis and Shamira raise funds to find safe housing in the tri-state area!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For folks who don’t know Issis and Shamira, they met at Alamo Drafthouse, worked together in the back of house, fell in love, and have been going strong for nearly two years.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, our friends are experiencing extreme hardship. In January, Shamira lost her mother, her housing and was falsely incarcerated. Issis is going through family turmoil and housing strife.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Both Issis and Shamira are looking for second jobs, but due to consistent obstacles and bill pile-ups, they are barely making ends meet. To start their next chapter and finally begin to live together, they need support from their communities.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our goal is to raise $4000, $1,500 of which will go towards their first month's rent, $1,500 for a security deposit, $100 for four $25 application fees, assuming they might need to apply a few times, $500 for moving expenses, $400 for additional living expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These two individuals are incredibly loving people and like everyone, deserve a safe place to call home. Please be a part of the community effort to get these queers a safe place to live, every dollar helps. Thank you for your support.

Hello Brothers and Sisters,
Sergio Contreras, 1457076, a partner of mine, and dear friend, has passed away. It is with a heavy heart that I come to you and I ask you to donate to his fiancé Sara, and his daughter, Leilani. He was a veteran, great ironworker, friend, and devoted Father. Any donations are greatly appreciated to help Sara and Leilani through this time of need.
Thank you,
Jeff Peterson.

A collection for Sergio Contreras.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi, my name is Galaan Hayle. I am fundraising on behalf of my partner J. Khadijah Abdurahman.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You may know Khadijah from her role as an Editor-in-Chief at the Logic(s) magazine, a Black x Asian x queer magazine about technology and society. Or you may know her from her work on We Be Imagining, an initiative applying the Black radical tradition to developing public interest technology. Or from her organizing work in Brownsville, Brooklyn to support political education, organizing, and mutual aid with those most impacted by the New York City Administration for Children’s Services (NYC ACS). Or simply from her Twitter account UpFromtheCracks. Across all of these platforms, Khadijah has continued to bridge siloed disciplines and activists, using art, technology, and community networks to combat harmful systems of surveillance, exclusion, and exploitation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since June 7, Khadijah has been sick with excruciating and almost life-ending pain, continuous swelling/edema, and a partial loss of hearing. It has been a whirlwind of a journey getting any care or diagnosis, including attempts to receive care in Ethiopia, India, and now in the US. After arriving in the US, Khadijah was deeply unfairly treated and dismissed by two hospitals before arriving in the current hospital in the Bronx, NY. So far the diagnosis she has received is bilateral kidney infection with strong signs that the infection has already affected both of her kidneys, liver, and pancreas. Her infection has not responded to any of the antibiotics. Now, she is on round-the-clock pain management. More diagnostic information is hopefully yet to come.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As we wait for a more certain treatment plan and a diagnosis of what may have been causing the ever-growing infection, the expenses are adding up. This includes hospital bills but also a big part of the expenses are 1) managing a household of 5 children in a different country 2) all our children are disabled and in need of significant medical attention themselves 3) my accommodation close to the hospital and cost of food and transportation 4) I too have several disabilities and need expensive medication to manage.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While Khadijah is typically paid by Columbia, supporting the size and nature of our household always required her to do extra work and speaking engagements which are not possible at this time. As a PhD student at UCLA with no summer funding, my financial abilities are also running out. At the same time, there is so far no end in sight for the current hospitalization and the kind of care and expenses that will come after an eventual discharge from the hospital.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With this in mind, our goal for the fundraiser is to help Khadijah and our family stay afloat at this extremely volatile time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>UPDATE July 29</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We would like to start by first thanking everyone for their generous contributions! We have reached over 40% of our goal. It is all very appreciated and Khadijah feels very loved.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have now been here in the US for close to 4 weeks. During this time Khadijah has undergone 3 hospital admissions and multiple appointments with a variety of medical providers. Unfortunately, the hospital admissions were basically unsuccessful as there was no definitive diagnosis besides the bilateral kidney infection and no medical reason could be found for the increase in weakness, balance issues, lymphedema and severe back pain. The entire hospital experience was extremely traumatic and disheartening as no one seemed to be concerned that a 35 year old woman who was walking normally six weeks ago was now dependent on 1:1 assistance and requiring a walker for ambulation. Fortunately, Khadijah met with a wonderful outpatient pain management specialist this past week who provided facet point injections to her back which will now enable her to fly home to Africa with greatly reduced pain. However, the physician predicts that these injections will only last 4 weeks and recommends returning for another round of injections at the end of August.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Khadijah also met with an outpatient hematologist who is working her up for some type of blood disorder due to her severe bruising due to the IV sticks and poor healing of her wounds. The hematologist was very concerned about her overall condition and recommended seeing a “super” neurologist - a Dr. House type who would be interested in taking on this very serious and complicated medical situation. In addition to the poor ambulation and unrelenting back pain, Khadijah is also experiencing intermittent vision issues, migraine headaches and intermittent edema in their hands and legs. She did see an outpatient neurologist who noted that the case was very complicated and not much she could do. Unfortunately, it is not easy finding a “super” neurologist on one’s own and we are currently seeking recommendations.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Insurance has fortunately covered the cost of ouptatient co-pays but the cost of the acute inpatient stays are starting to come in and total thousands of dollars. They were initially discharged with a wheelchair and just purchased a walker. The cost of staying in one country while the kids are in another continues to accrue and will again when Khadijah must return in 3 weeks for the facet procedure. Any contributions are welcome.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Update August 26 </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is Khadijah, I am finally in a place to write an update on my own. I’m deeply grateful to all who have contributed financially and emotionally as I’ve gone through this harrowing experience. In some ways, I have dramatically improved. I am able to walk briefly without a walker, the spasmodic pain has decreased with Tegretol, an anti-seizure medication. However, the therapeutic dose leaves me feeling like the undead, unable to think and feeling like I’m moving through slush. Much worse than the opioids. So for now, I’m taking half dose and just coping with the pain.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Anyway, TLDR is that I have to travel to Boston mid-September to see what they call a “super neurologist” who cracks hard to solve cases. I’ve also learned that the last hospital I went to conducted the tests improperly so I’m optimistic this clinician will be able to figure out what my diagnosis/prognosis is. I’ve been told everything from I’m completely fine and just need PT to dying in a month from light chain disease so clarity is deeply needed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I cannot travel alone so this doubles the cost of plane tickets and lodging. Additionally, I will need to pay for supports for my kids while I’m gone. Any contributions appreciated :)

Khadijah’s Emergency Fund

<div>On December 7th, Amazon worker <strong>Arturo Adame was fired in an act of targeted anti-union retaliation</strong>- leaving him unemployed coming into the holiday season. The week prior, Arturo and his union organizing committee collected over 140 coworkers’ signatures for a petition that was part of a nationwide campaign demanding better pay, safety and respect from Amazon.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ever since a successful 2022 walkout from their Buford warehouse, Amazon has illegally targeted Arturo, unfairly disciplining him for minor and non-existent offenses while constantly ignoring their own safety policies and procedures. Leading up to Arturo’s termination, DGE9 management and Amazon corporate officials kept constant notes on him, writing him up three times in about a month for checking his phone immediately after clocking in.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On December 7th, after first break, DGE9 management and Amazon corporate officials called him into the building’s HR office for a conversation about his “performance”. This conversation was just a pretext for his termination based on a write up that had been filed 7 days earlier. Why wait to fire someone a week after a final write up?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As a worker organizer, Arturo and the DGE9 organizing committee refuse to be silenced. We are already fighting back against Amazon and working towards his reinstatement. Still, Arturo has bills that go unpaid until then. Please donate here to contribute both to Arturo’s basic needs until he is reinstated and the continued organizing of Amazonians United Atlanta in our struggle for <em>all</em> workers to be free from the fear of Amazon’s retaliation and exploitative practices.

In this barbaric war, I lost my university ,Unfortunately, I which completely burned by the occupation. by shells and then burned completely, and we are now homeless. Without the minimum necessities of normal human life, we were temporarily forced to move by military force from our house to a safe area. When the danger intensified, we were displaced again and again, trying to escape with our lives. For your information, there is no safe area in the entire Gaza Strip. Unfortunately, we lost our dreams, our homes, our future, some of our relatives, and many of our friends. We have lost our strength and resilience. Our psyche has been shattered and our bodies are exhausted and unable to live in these conditions. Financial support for emergency cases: It aims to help Ameer and his family rebuild a new home and provide immediate emergency support by granting an allowance to Ameer’s family in light of the high prices and the high cost of living in Gaza due to the war, ensuring that continuous assistance is provided to them until they reach safety. . You can play a vital role in realizing Ameer’s dreams and promoting hope in Gaza by donating: Your financial donations are necessary to achieve the campaign’s goals. Every amount, even if it is small, makes a difference helping Ameer and the youth of Gaza.

Save Ameer and his family

<div>Thank you everyone for your kind words and support as we navigate through the sudden loss of our dear friend Derek Floyd.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Derek is described as a kind, brave, and loyal soul. He dedicated his life to the service of his country, serving 8 years in the United States Marine Corps and 4 years in the Fire Department of New York. He made a real difference and huge impact on the lives of everyone who was blessed to cross paths with him. Earlier this year, Derek continued his passion for helping others by joining a non-profit organization servicing the veterans he loved.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Derek was taken far too soon at the young age of 36, leaving behind his wife Christine and his two beautiful children, Ethan, 6, and Abigail, 2. Derek was a dedicated father and loving husband. He loved to spend time with his family. Some of his favorite times included cuddling with his daughter, playing video games with his son, Friday family pizza night, and watching the Jets game, Ninja Turtles, or Buffy. The family recently moved to Long Island only two years ago, after Derek and Christine purchased a home they dreamed of raising their children in. They purchased their new dream home on their 5th wedding anniversary.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In June of 2019, during his service to the FDNY, Derek suffered a cardiac arrest and was able to make a miraculous recovery with the love and support of his family. Unfortunately, the previous accident caused possible complications, which lead to his sudden and tragic death on Monday, April 15th, 2024.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The friends of Christine and Derek know that Christine has a long a difficult journey ahead of her, grieving the loss of her love and raising their two children. We are hoping to raise money to assist Christine with the expenses of the home, bills, daycare, and to assist with the needs of her children. Those close to the family know how much love and support Derek and Christine put into their communities and those around them, and we would love to show Christine how much her family means to us. All of your support is greatly appreciated to help his family during this extremely difficult time.
</div>

<div>Thank You

For the Family of Derek Floyd

<div>Hello everyone,
</div>
<div>My name is Victoria and thank you for checking out my gofundme. I have had this fundraiser for almost more than three years now and it has helped me survive since then. In 2021 into 2022 I became severely ill. We are unsure of why, but over the past two years I have found out that I have a genetic disorder called hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos as well as several other illnesses including Dysautonomia, severe Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, Hashimotos disease, Mast cell disorder, and unfortunately Long COVID. I am still on my journey to discovering what may be the root of some of the illnesses, and still trying to find doctors who can help me. Right now I am raising needed funds to support the costs of my care. My medical conditions have made it impossible to do everyday activities like shower, talk, stand, or do many basic functions. <strong>Because of this I am 95% bedbound</strong>. Due to your donations and seeing doctors, I have improved 5% and can now get into my wheelchair on some days!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since Fall 2022 this gofundme has helped pay for a $48,000 air ambulance to Vegas (in addition to loans and selling my car), a $1400 wheel chair, $200 weekly infusions, four $1000 consultations, $800 weekly home health, and more. Thank you so much for helping me pay for these life saving expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong><em>As of 2025 I am raising money for</em></strong>:
</div>
<ul>
<li>Retrieving my belongings from storage: $4,000
</li>
<li>Caregiving: $1,200 a month
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you don’t feel comfortable using gofundme please venmo me directly @itssvee.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All funds raised are for medical costs and assistive care to stabilize my quality of life and help me find possible treatments to one day get me out of bed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A little about me: before 2022 I was an active runner, roller skater, nature enjoyer, dancer, beach enthusiast, and book lover. ❤️ I enjoyed being outdoors and seeing the world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for your incredible generosity and care during this time, and God bless.
