<div>Kit is about to have two surgeries that will alter the life of the whole family. He continues to fight for his life. They hope these surgeries will change things and give him a fighting chance.

<div>They will need to have two parents with him at all times for safety once he arrives home with a tracheostomy.
</div>
<div>They will have to live on Oahu until he no longer needs a trach, likely at minimum a year-two. This is a huge financial hit for them as they were not expecting any of this. They will need to re-establish business in a new environment with all of this on their plate- while caring full time for their baby boy. They will have to stay in a home within close proximity to medical facilities that meets certain criteria for a medically complex child. Rent in Honolulu is notably higher than outer islands or even other areas of Oahu. They'll need everything a baby needs to be cared for on top of extras to support his tracheostomy and g-tube. They are literally starting life over on a new island unexpectedly WITH A SICK BABY.

<div>Kit has never had a normal day in his life.

<div>He is developmentally very behind and will need many therapies to learn and grow.

<div>We want to make sure this family feels held, that they can take care of their needs with ease, and offer Kit all of the therapy and support that he needs.

<div>Including extensive trauma healing therapy for Kit and his mom and dad.

<div>They recently learned that the tests done before Kit's early delivery were not done correctly and Kit should not have even been born when he was. This whole story is one no parent, no person, no child should ever experience.

<div>7 months! 7 months of life altering hospital life. 7 months of being separated as a family. 7 months- and so many more to go.

<div>Kit's family needs support because they do not have the ability to work full time and be there for him.

<div>Kit is fighting for his life in the hospital, heavily sedated and on full ventilator support after being reintubated this morning. This isn't the first time—he's been intubated multiple times as his condition continues to worsen despite our desperate advocacy for better care. His suffering is hard to put into words.

<div>Kit was born on January 9th, we've been in this for months and it has no end in sight.

<div>While he battles for each breath, we're facing an impossible situation:

The emotional toll of watching our baby endure this while feeling powerless to help has been unbearable.
