This is Kalvin. Kalvin came to the United States seeking asylum after being dangerously targeted in Honduras. The photos you see of him in the hospital were taken after he was shot multiple times in his home country—a life-threatening attack that forced him to flee in order to survive and protect his family. Kalvin is not a criminal. He is a hardworking man, a devoted husband, and an incredibly involved father to three beautiful children, all of whom are devastated by his sudden absence. We are asking for help on behalf of his wife, Paola, and their children as they navigate this heartbreaking and uncertain time. Beyond the emotional toll, Kalvin was the family’s primary source of income. His support is essential to meeting their basic needs and caring for their children, including one child who is medically vulnerable. Without him, the family is facing overwhelming financial and emotional strain.
