<div>The thief stole cash, some Funko Pops and an SDCC 2023 exclusive Power Rangers Tiki Mugs. More costly, is the damage to our window/ door.

<div>We had upgraded to safety glass, similar to car windows and while it didn't shatter as easily, the robbers tenacity paid off.

<div>We are in a better financial state than we were in January (low sales, high bills) and thanks to the previous incident we have all the confidence that we will get past this. The purpose of the GoFundMe is to give people an avenue to support if they don't want to buy anything from the shop or simply can't reach us.

<div>It is not easy running a hobby shop in New York City in 2024, but your support and love has outweighed the damage we incurred.

<div>Yesterday Everyone Comics x Collectibles in Long Island City was broken into at 3am.
</div>
<div>The thief stole cash, a laptop, and destroyed our window. The damage was costly, and our business was disrupted at the worst time.
</div>

<div>I started Everyone Comics x Collectibles with my long-time coworker and friend Alex Rae in 2022. We felt we could create an environment that would nurture the growth of our favorite hobby for others and help people meet with similar interests, all the while selling our favorite books.

<div>While the real estate of LIC has proven to be a challenge for us, with the constant development and displacement of customers, we felt the proximity of the subway to the store, along with the accessibility for persons with disabilities, made our location a great place for growth.

<div>It has been slow, but it has, in fact, been growing!

<div>Between meeting a variety of personalities and being party to their expanding tastes and interests, to hosting events that nurture people's creativity it has been a gratifying experience. We love the people we meet and hope we have left a good impression with them.

<div>Our financial situation is volatile, and this is a big setback for us.
</div>

</div>
<div>We are trying to raise $3500. $600 to replace the window, $1200 to replace the computer, $300 to recoup the money stolen form the register and $1400 for the lost revenue.
</div>

<div>Any money raised will be invested into the store. I welcome people who can come in and patron it but recognize that many people who can no longer reach us would like an avenue to support.

<div>Today is the day! After an entire month at the Hospital undergoing countless surgeries and operations, Steven is finally able to go home but still needs to maintain weekly hospital visits to monitor his liver health. We thank everyone who has been so generous to support him and his family at such a dire time. The support from his friends and family from around the world truly kept him going during his darkest hours which I saw firsthand. It's been a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs and we thank each and everyone one dearly. Stay tuned for updates!

<div>Last Tuesday 3/7, Steve underwent another successful surgery to repair his hematoma, and his recovery was progressing rapidly, allowing him to walk. The doctor predicted that he might be able to return home on Monday, which is today. We were both so happy.However, his abdominal pain had been increasing over the past few days, and it was discovered that bile was leaking. He will undergo a CT scan today, and the doctor will consider performing surgery today or tomorrow. This will be his 4th surgery. It's heartbreaking to see him in so much pain, and he has been suffering a lot. Steve is fighting, but mentally, I can see that he is becoming exhausted Please send him some messages of encouragement to lift his spirits. Your support can give him the strength to keep fighting.

<div>Steve finally made it out of the ICU in a more stable condition. He’s still not completely out of the woods just yet as he’s dealing with bleeding and medication during his recovery. His doctors are estimating another 2 weeks in the facilities to ensure all is well. Thank you everyone for their continued care and support! <div>I am reaching out to you today on behalf of my dearest friend, Steven Wong, who is currently fighting for his life in the hospital alongside his wife, Hikaru Wong. Steve has been battling a lifelong liver condition and recently fell ill, only to discover that his liver had failed significantly.

<div>In the past week, Steve has undergone two liver transplant surgeries, five blood transfusions, and is currently dealing with internal bleeding and major blood loss. The doctors are monitoring his condition closely and keeping us updated by the hour with blood test results.

<div>Steve is turning 39 next month and is the father of two young children, Hinata and Haruto, who are currently being cared for by his parents. Thankfully Steve has insurance but with a high out of pocket max, and with the roadmap not looking clear he is concerned of many other unexpected bills.

<div>Steven is still currently in ICU but in an improved and more stable condition, but not completely recovered from the transplant. We are still waiting for his new liver to not be rejected and taking immunosuppressants to fight rejection and internal bleeding. He can now open his eyes and read your text messages and respond directly to you on his phone and things are moving in the positive direction based on recent blood tests and CAT scan reports. We are so thankful for everyone who has reached out and have shown support in any way, shape or form. Based on our last chat with his amazing head surgeon Doctor Lau, things are moving along in the right direction. Hikaru and I cannot thank everyone enough for such an immense outpour of support at such a critical moment. We thank you deeply and will continue to update everyone on the recovery process. This will be a long and ongoing fight for Steve so please keep him in your thoughts and feel free to send words of support! Much Love to you guys.

<div>On Sunday, 10/30 he was taken to an emergency vet hospital due to an extended abdomen. Upon extensive testing, Bullet has a massive pool of blood floating in his abdomen which is life threatening. Hemangiosarcoma is the medical term. A cancerous mass on his spleen that has ruptured causing the pooling of blood.

<div>As of 10/31 at 6am, Bullet received emergency surgery for a full splenectomy. The sample will be headed to a lab today and will find out in about a week if benign which will be the hopeful outcome, or malignant which means it will continue to spread if no additional treatment such as chemotherapy is taken.

<div>This is a completely unexpected situation and no one could ever plan for something this drastic to happen to their dog overnight. He is more than a dog, he is a son to the Blanco family. Jose is a Marine Corps Veteran and an honored member of the NYPD. Bullet is a loyal companion to our war hero which has helped aid in companion support tremendously.
