What they care about

I care to much about the safety and wellbeing of others !

Five months ago, I moved to Louisiana to help a family member who needed me. I came here believing I was doing the right thing for someone I loved, and I hoped it would also help me get my own life together. Instead, the promises that brought me here did not hold up, and I was left feeling used after giving my time, energy, and trust to someone who took advantage of me. Now I'm stuck hundreds of miles from home in Louisiana, trying to find a way back to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where I already have a job lined up at a filter company. I have a real plan for starting over. What I don't have right now is the money to make the trip home and get stable housing once I arrive. The funds from this fundraiser will help cover my travel back to Grand Rapids, along with a security deposit and first month's rent so I can have a roof over my head when I get there. I'm not asking for help because I want an easy way out. I'm asking because I am trying to fix a painful situation the right way and get back on my feet with something solid already waiting for me. If you're able to give, any amount would help me get home and start over. If you can't donate, sharing this fundraiser would still mean a lot to me. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can offer.
