Steven Salvati

My name is Steven, and I’m reaching out for help after Hurricane Ian turned my life upside down. The storm caused significant damage to my home, and just when I thought my insurance would help, the company went out of business. This left me responsible for paying contractors who worked to repair my house, as well as covering the costs of refurnishing everything I lost. To make matters worse, I had to rely on credit cards to get by, and now the debt is piling up faster than I can manage. Every time I check my credit score, it seems to drop, making it impossible or too expensive to get a personal loan. I am a 100% disabled Veteran, and I also care for my younger brother, who is a five-time cancer survivor. We’ve both faced more than our share of challenges, but I’ve always tried to give back—whether it’s supporting GoFundMe campaigns or charities like St. Jude’s and the ASPCA. Asking for help isn’t easy for me, but with the walls closing in, I’m hoping for a little kindness from others. Your support would help me pay back the contractors for their hard work, cover the credit card debt I took on to refurnish our home, and give us a chance to breathe again.
