I was out of work for two months due to a severe MRSA infection. Just as I was getting back on my feet, I noticed lymph nodes on the opposite side of the MRSA infection that kept growing. My doctors decided to do surgery to remove and biopsy them, which meant another two weeks away from work. As soon as I recovered and returned to my job, I received a call from my doctor with the biopsy results: I have been diagnosed with a high-risk form of acute leukemia. This news turned my world upside down, and I have now been out of work for months, struggling to afford food and basic needs while facing intensive chemotherapy and more treatment ahead. The funds raised here will help me cover the essentials—food, gas to get to appointments, rent, and other day-to-day living expenses that have become overwhelming during this time. Every bit of support will help me focus on getting through treatment and recovery, rather than worrying about how I’ll make ends meet.
