I’m Holly, and I’m asking for help because I’ve reached a point where I truly don’t know what else to do. At the end of last year, my boyfriend wrecked my new car, and it was completely totaled. We didn’t have insurance because we simply couldn’t afford it. I had to find another vehicle as quickly as possible, even though I’m disabled and living on SSI. My monthly disability payment barely covers my bills, and after gas and groceries, there is almost nothing left. I’ve even pawned everything I could to try to keep up with essentials, but I’m still falling behind. I just got out of an abusive relationship and now things are even more tough. Plus the car won't even start now so I don't even have the funds to even get someone to look at the car to see what the issue is.
The car I have now is the only way I can get to my doctors appointments and the store, and right now it urgently needs help. It needs new tires, the check engine light is on, and I can’t even afford an oil change or a trip to the shop. I live with degenerative disc disease in my lower back and mental health issues, so having reliable transportation is not a luxury for me, it’s a necessity. How your support will help:
Pay for new tires
Cover needed car repairs and a shop visit
Help me keep reliable transportation for medical care and daily needs
I hate asking for help, but my family isn’t able to support me, and I’m in a very tough spot. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much to me and help me stay safe and independent. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering helping me through this.
