<p>Hello, my name is Jodi, and I’d like to share my story with you and explain why I am asking for your support. 
</p><br />
<p>On July 3rd, 2023, my daughter and I were involved in a serious accident when we were struck by a semi-truck on a major highway. Since then, my life has been filled with unexpected challenges and medical complications. For a long time, I managed to push through and stay strong—but in September 2024, I was faced with my most difficult battle yet: a Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) blood clot.

<p>What I initially believed would be manageable has become overwhelming. The pain is constant, and even simple movements have turned into daily struggles. Walking, something I once loved, is no longer possible, and restful sleep has become impossible due to the sensitivity and pain in my foot. 
</p><br />
<p>Despite seeking help through hospitals, emergency rooms, urgent care, and walk-in clinics, I have not received the treatment I need. I’ve been on blood thinners for over a year, yet my clot has grown from 5 cm to 7.5 cm in length. The only real solution left for me is surgery—something our healthcare system has not been able to provide. Unfortunately, this means I have to pursue private care, which comes with a cost of $5,400. 
</p><br />
<p>This is not an easy step for me. I never imagined I would have to ask for help in this way. But after exhausting every other option, I am reaching out with humility and hope. Please don’t feel any pressure to give, but if you are able to contribute, know that your generosity will make a life-changing difference.

The mounting medical bills, travel costs, and household expenses have placed a tremendous strain on his family.
