I am reaching out during a very difficult and urgent time for my family. Our family property, which has been in our family since 1978, is now at risk of foreclosure due to unpaid property taxes for 2024 and 2025. The payee who was supposed to handle my mother's bills failed to pay the property taxes, and now we are facing a deadline to pay or lose both properties. If we lose them, I will be left homeless. My wife is currently caring for her elderly mother, and I am on SSDI, which means I am unable to work at times and only receive one payment a month. I also have to send money to my wife to help with her mother's care, which makes it even harder to cover these urgent expenses. I have tried every option available, including assistance programs and loans, but have not been able to secure the funds in time. I am turning to the community for help in this critical moment. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward paying the outstanding taxes and stopping the foreclosure.
