Our family is hoping and praying for help with assisting our elderly father pay off a large amount of ongoing medical bills and home healthcare that he has accumulated over the past year. Dad will be 80 years old this year and lives on a fixed income. Last March, he was hospitalized for a rare condition that caused him to have his entire esophagus replaced, his stomach repositioned, a feeding tube inserted that is his main source of nutrition and ongoing issues with his lungs. We almost lost him twice while he was hospitalized for 4 months. He was placed on life support twice during this time then was moved to a rehabilitation center for an additional 3 months. He is now home but has to have in home care along with the feeding tube due to him no longer being able to eat or drink through his mouth. Dad has incurred over $37,000 in medical bills after what insurance paid and these are only increasing by the month due to the ongoing in home care he must have. Due to his fixed income that goes to regular monthly bills, he is way behind on paying off what he already owes. The total is only increasing by the month. We are reaching out and praying for help in hopes Dad doesn't lose what little he has. We are doing this without Dad knowing because of the pride he has. Dad has always been someone who would go without to be able to help out someone in need. Never asking for help even when he desperately needed it. He is the glue that keeps our family together and we want him here with us for as long as he can hold up. With your help, we have a chance of making this fight a little easier. Our hope is that this reaches anyone who may be able to help, out of the kindness of their heart.
