Hello, my name is Peter.
I am a single father, musician, and certified massage therapist living in Sweden. A few years ago, I suffered a stroke, and one of the lasting effects I live with every day is brain fatigue. On top of that, the medication I must take for the rest of my life has caused chronic joint pain.
In Sweden, the cold climate makes everything harder. When the temperature drops below 15°C (59⁰F) – which it does most of the year – my pain increases, my energy decreases, and it becomes difficult to work. As both a musician and a massage therapist, my body is my instrument and my tool, and when it hurts, I can’t do my job.
But I have discovered something important:
When I spend time in Spain, the warmth and the sun give me back my energy, reduce my pain, and allow me to live more fully.
Ideally, I would move somewhere with warm weather all year round, but that would take me too far away from my children. Spain is a realistic compromise – warm enough for me to regain my health, but close enough so that I can remain present in my child’s life.
Right now, I cannot relocate permanently, since my child is still in school in Sweden. But once a year, I try to travel to Spain to explore different areas, so that I can find the right place to settle in the future – a place where I can live with strength, health, and hope.
How the funds will be used
• Flights to Spain.
• Accommodation and food during the trip.
• Local transportation to visit different regions.
My goal is to raise 25 000 SEK ($2400 / €2100) to cover the costs of my next trip.
Looking ahead – a vision for the future
My dream is not only to find a home in Spain for myself. I also want this place to have a guest room for others who struggle with similar challenges – people who have had a stroke, or who live with chronic pain in their joints.
Not everyone has the possibility to move abroad, but I would love to create a space where they can come for a short stay – to rest, recover, and experience the relief that the warmth and sun can bring.
This is a long-term vision, but it gives me hope and strength. Your support for my journey is the first step toward making that vision real – not just for me, but also for others who need a place of peace and recovery.
Why your support matters
By contributing, you are not just helping me manage my health – you are also helping me be a stronger, more present father, and giving me the chance to keep working with the things I love.
Every donation, big or small, makes a difference.
Together, you can help me find a place in the sun – and a life without pain.
