<div>Hi, my dear friend Erin Greenlaw experienced the sudden and heartbreaking loss of her mom. This tragedy came without warning, leaving her devastated emotionally and overwhelmed financially.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>As she navigates her grief, she has had to take unpaid time off work and travel unexpectedly to be with family and attend the funeral. These costs added up quickly, and despite doing everything she could, she has fallen behind on bills and ho into debt just to be able to say goodbye to her mom.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I’m creating this fundraiser to help lift some of the financial weight off her shoulders so she can focus on healing.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>The funds raised will go directly toward:

</div>

<div>Travel and accommodation expenses related to the funeral

</div>

<div>repayment of any debts incurred to be able to say her good-byes

</div>

<div>Rent and essential bills she fell behind on

</div>

<div>Basic living expenses while she was off work

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Erin is the kind of person who would give anything for others, and now she’s the one who needs support. Even the smallest contribution will help lighten her burden during an unimaginable time.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page means just as much.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thank you for your kindness, support, and compassion.

Helping Erin After the Sudden Loss of Her Mom

<div>On February 20th, 2025 Karen Green suffered an unimaginable loss with the passing of her beloved child, Nathan. No words can truly express the heart break she is facing right now. As she navigates this incredibly difficult time, we are rallying together to provide financial support so she can focus on grieving, healing, and honouring Nathan without the added stress of financial burdens.
</div>
<div>The funds raised will help with memorial costs and any other unexpected expenses that have arisen during this devastating time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a significant difference in easing her journey through this pain.
</div>
<div>We know that Karen would be deeply grateful for your support, and we appreciate every donation, and messages of love. Thank you for your kindness and generosity as we help her during this heartbreaking time.

<div>Hello, my name is Desiree, and I am starting this GoFundMe for Sophie and her mother, Jana, after the sudden and very unexpected passing of Sophie's dad, Mark Brennan. Sophie is an incredibly loved, funny, sassy, beautiful girl who was the absolute true love of her father.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sometime in the early hours of November 2, 2024 Mark passed away after a text exchange between Jana and himself - they were sharing pictures and videos of Sophie as a baby and his last message to her was "I miss her alot" (Mark was about to fly out to a job in the Yukon). Mark was a loving father to his precious daughter, Sophie. Their bond was undeniable, filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished moments.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Jana, a dedicated and hardworking mother, has always prioritized Sophie's well-being. Together, they’ve faced life’s challenges with strength and resilience. However, this sudden loss has left them facing an uncertain future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mark’s absence has created a significant financial burden. The support he provided was crucial for covering essential expenses like food, rent, daycare, and activities. Without this, Jana will be struggling to make ends meet.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Goal:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our goal is to raise $24,000 to help Jana and Sophie during this difficult time. These funds will be used to cover the next few months immediate needs, such as rent, groceries, and childcare expenses. Additionally, we hope to establish a small savings fund for Sophie’s future education and well-being.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>How You Can Help:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your generous donation, no matter the size, will make a tangible difference in Sophie’s life. By contributing to this fundraiser, you’re not only providing financial support but also offering hope and compassion.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Let’s come together as a community to support Jana and Sophie during this challenging period. Your kindness and generosity will be forever appreciated.

A Sudden Loss: Helping Sophie and Jana

<p>Ken, Holly and their four beautiful children are loved beyond measure by their family, friends, and community abroad. This is not the result of chance, but a true testament to the compassionate, kind, generous, and genuine qualities that encompass their beings. Every passing and each life touched have left a legacy of love and admiration. It is now time to wrap around this family and offer what support and comfort we can during an incredibly difficult time. As the COVID-19 pandemic is limiting the ways in which we can support Ken, Holly and family, this is one way we can move forward during this time.
</p>

<p>Towards the end of December 2019, Holly’s battle with stage 4 Small-cell Carcinoma came to light. While Holly’s tenacity, cheerfulness and kindness never wavered, her health has taken a toll and her time is now limited. Holly, you have inspired and reminded us all to live life to the fullest, to appreciate the small things and to hold those you love close. You are a role model, a hero.
</p>

<p>Ken, your dedication and unconditional love is inspiring. As a first responder working 24/7 volunteering for the Lantzville Fire Department - your commitment to continuously giving to your community is something  that we all admire. Although having to pull back from the role as a First Responder to care for your 4 children, care for Holly, continue working to uphold the demands, and battle a global pandemic - you carry yourself with pride and a smiling face.
</p>

<p>Holly had created a Facebook page, Holly Dolly’sJourney, where she and Ken have been providing updates.
</p>

<p>Ken, Holly, Claudia, Erica, Olivia and Lochlan, we love you and will always stand strong by your side.

Groess Family

I am a childhood friend of Jason Labbe. We grew up together and never understood why I didn’t see him much at school. Over the years it’s been clear why. Cancer!  Years later we have reconnected and become the best of friends. Jason Labbe is a man that is stronger than anybody I know. Over the years he has had to fight for his life to stay alive. Cancer has riddled his body. Every time he has fought to stay alive! This past couple of weeks he has yet to inform me that he is again dyignosed with colon cancer.  He is a man of little means and has pride in taking care of his live in mother and a mortgage that is beyond his means as he can not be cleared for work. Life has not been easy but he will be the one to crack the first joke and always go out of his way to make sure everyone else is protected. A heart of gold and a heart on his sleeve. Please help to provide for his medical needs and house hold expenses. Anything will help. A man of strength and love needs our help.

Survival

For many of us, Family is one of, if not the most important thing and thanks to Miguel and the community he's built at DRIVEN we now all have an extended family with each other. <br /><br />In the meantime, his own family is living in Mexico in an ever-growing dangerous area while he's been working his tail off to bring them here for a better life in Canada and to be close to him and their grandkids<br /><br />If you haven't seen the video of his story you can watch it here (<a href="https://youtu.be/cDbmX_BDw6s"><a href="https://youtu.be/cDbmX_BDw6s" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://youtu.be/cDbmX_BDw6s</a></a>) and I put this GoFundMe together so that we would all have the opportunity to give back to a man who has given us all so much. <br /><br />Together we can make Miguel's dream come true and bring his family home to Nanaimo so in light of Thanksgiving and Black Friday and the upcoming Xmas season let's all come together and say Thank You with whatever you are able to offer to make this happen... much love people and remember... it's a surprise!

When she recently she broke her arm at school and was getting the Xray etc for the cast they found the cancer in her arm. She is 16 years old and all money raised will go to helping her family take time off work to support and escort her to appointments, pay rent in Vancouver as her treatment will be a long road at childrens and if we are so successful that there is anything left over then it will go towards her university because the sky is the limit for this beautiful soul and she has BIG DREAMS she will accomplish!!!! She needs our support in her fight! Please share and Please help me in showing her that her family, friends and our community is behind her as she embarks on this journey to health. EVERY DONATION HELPS ♥️

Alia Johnstons fight against cancer

On October 10, 2017 the world lost two beautiful beings.  Amberlee and Piper died in a tragic house fire in Nanaimo, BC.

<br /><br />At this time, we are all searching for answers as to how this could've happened.  We ask for your understanding as we all endure this difficult time and navigate our way through together.  <br /><br />We are asking for support to help fund a Celebration of Life for Amber and Piper.  There weren't any plans in place should such a tragedy occur, so monies raised will be used for funeral expenses. I will be withdrawing the donations and paying for the funeral expenses directly. Any extra monies will be left in trust to Ambers surviving sons, Benson and Adam. I will oversee setting up this trust fund. <br /><br />For those of you who don't know me, I am Amberlee's first cousin on her mother Esther's side. I live on the mainland and saw Amber and Piper as often as I could. We grew up as siblings and were very close family, spending many summers together and always there for each other. My siblings and our close cousins/family, along with Ambers sons will be making arrangements.<br /><br />A Celebration of Life is planned for Nov 5th, 3pm, at the Vancouver Island Conference Center, 101 Gordon St, Nanaimo, BC V9R 5J8.  <br /><br />

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support at this difficult time.

Tragic Death of Amberlee and Piper

Nov. 14th, 2016,  our 32 year old nephew, Ferris Robson died suddenly leaving behind his wife Lisa and his seven year old son, Malakai. On behalf of his  immediate family, we have set up this page to help Lisa and Malakai with their expenses and lessen the effects of this unthinkable tragedy. <br /><br />Lisa and Ferris depended almost solely on his income from managing the kitchen at the local food bank in Duncan, B.C., Canada. Also living with them is Lisa's eldest daughter and her three children including a newborn. <br /><br />The family lives a simple life, very active and appreciated in their community, involved in music, schools and cub scouts. We are all devasted to have lost such a kind hearted, quiet, loving and unique man who was always doing amazing things behind the scenes without looking for recognition.<br /><br /><img class="not-resizable" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/16326554_1480292997.1829_funddescription.jpeg" alt="" width="100%" /><br />Lisa volunteers at Malakai's school, works as a crossing guard and takes cares of her children and grandchildren. Lisa has been hoping to get her Educational Assistant certification to be able to work at the school district.<br /><br /><img class="not-resizable" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/16326554_1480293024.8912_funddescription.jpeg" alt="" width="100%" /><br />Malakai is 7 and is an incredible musician, old soul, thoughtful, hilarious, brilliant kid. He just won a bursary that will allow him to continue his piano lessons. He plays ukulele, piano, guitar, and anything else he can get his hands on. Ferris was a huge influence on this part of Malakai's life. <br /><br />The money raised will help cover basic living expenses while Lisa goes back to school to get her certificate and a job in the school district. It will also support Malakai to continue to do the things he loves and to put aside additional funds for his future education. <br /><br />During this time of unbearable grief and devastation, any contribution will help to alleviate the additional burden and fear of not being able to provide for the family. We know that Lisa and Malakai will be forever grateful for your kindness and loving thoughts.<br /><br /><a href="http://sandsfuneralduncan.sharingmemories.ca/site/William-Robson.html" target="_blank">Obituary for William Ferris Robson</a>

In Loving Memory of Ferris Robson

9 years ago my husband Jordon was in a motor vehicle accident that left him paralyzed and a quadraplegic, life for us literally changed in the blink of an eye. We didnt know if he would live or what quality of life he would even have. At 23 he now had a different path in life. <br /><br />He's always tried to keep a positive attitude regardless of the circumstance that changed his life, and his road has not been an easy one. It's been filled with frustration, emotions and roadblocks. Dispite everything,  he has never been they type to not make something of himself. His passion in life came right away in the form of wheelchair rugby. Before he even left rehab he was already talking about playing and trying out chairs.<br /><br />Jordon didn't waste any time and before long he was playing for BC traveling with the team to competitions all over. Of course his personal goals were bigger and playing on Team Canada was always the light at the end of the tunnel. Hundreds of ferry rides to Vancouver and thousands of kms in his car later and he finally made the team. The pride on his face and the excitement in his eyes came second only to the day our son was born. I have never seen him so proud of an accomplishment and so proud of himself as he was representing the team. <br /><br />After taking this past year off to be home more with his family, Jordons goal is to go back to Rugby full steam ahead but what stands between him and his dream is a metal rugby chair worth $7000. It's not a lot bit to us it's a big deal. This $7000 can make or break his potential.<br /><br />Jordon works hard every week training with a group of amazing people at PISE in Victoria that keep him focused and motivated. He helps support the locals clubs and plays twice a week in Vic and Duncan. He volunteers his time with a good friend every year to help raise money for Wheels in Motion which helps to fund new accessible equipment like swings and makes our valley more "chair friendly". The Boilermakers Lodge 359 and all the other locals have been beyond supportive for their retired brother helping to support him the whole way through.  My hope for this Go Fund Me is to raise the funds needed to get my very deserving and hard working  husband the chair he needs. <br /><br />Thank you for taking the time to read his story, and thank you from our family for lending your support.
