I lost my job three months ago and have been struggling to find another sanitation job. After my sister passed away, it's been even harder to get back on my feet. I feel like I'm taking one step forward and five steps back, and I'm getting depressed. I don't have any friends or anyone to turn to. I'm truly applying myself every day, but it's tough to keep going when it feels like nothing is working out. I just want to get out of my parents' house and have a place of my own, but every time I try, something sets me back. I've managed to save up from what I have, and I'm paying my mom each month for housing. I'm not complaining—I know it's helping me learn independence. I'm not looking for pity or handouts—just a nudge to help me move forward. Maybe this fundraiser will help me find a new friend or some encouragement along the way.
