Shawanna Evans

My name is Shawanna Evans, and I’m not going to sugar coat anything—I want to get back on my feet and give my family a new start. Life has thrown a lot my way, but I’m determined to rise above it all with faith and humility. I want to go back to school so I can help kids who are struggling with mental health issues, just like I have. I also need a car so I can take my kids back and forth to church, and a new home so I can support my mom and give my family a safe place to grow. I know what it’s like to face difficulties and feel like you’re at a crossroads. That’s why I want to use my experiences to make a difference—not just for myself, but for others who might be struggling too. Every donation will help me take steps toward my goals: returning to school, providing for my family, and building a stable, loving home. Your support will help me show my kids, my mom, and my community that it’s possible to overcome hard times and find purpose again. I want to be the person who can show and tell the world my testimony—how I overcame the difficulties of mental illness and struggle, and how I’m working to save a life, maybe even inspire someone else to keep going.
