My name is Vic, and I’m a single dad doing everything I can to provide for my two sons and our two dogs. Recently, I was hired to clean out an 18-acre property after the tenants were evicted. I followed all the court orders and tried to sell the salvageable items, but the evicted tenants saw my posts and started spreading false accusations online, claiming I stole their belongings. Because of this, my reputation and income took a huge hit. Just a few months ago, I was able to support my family comfortably, but now I’m barely scraping by. I don’t qualify for assistance, and I have no one to borrow from. I’m posting ads and taking every job I can find, but it’s still not enough to keep up with basic needs. With Christmas less than a week away, I haven’t been able to get anything for my 2-year-old or my 27-year-old son. I’m struggling just to keep food in the house for my family and our dogs.
