4WDABC Hale Shelter Repair Fund
Donation protected
On September 10th and 11th, 2011, dozens of volunteers of the Four Wheel Drive Association of BC (4WDABC) constructed the beautiful log shelter at Hale Creek Recreation Site that is managed by the 4WDABC. Over 1500 volunteer hours were invested to make this shelter a reality. This was the result of years of lobbying efforts of the Association to the BC gov't for funding for materials.
This is a free site dedicated to the use and enjoyment of 4 wheelers and is used by thousands of people every year.
On October 3rd, 2015, one of our volunteers discovered that the shelter had been damaged by vandals who shot numerous holes in the metal roof and a dozen holes in the signage that educated people about the history of the site and the story of the volunteer construction of the shelter.
Please consider chipping in to help our non-profit society that is managed and run completely by volunteers repair this structure for the public to continue using and enjoying on our public lands.
Thank you,
Kim Reeves
President, Four Wheel Drive Association of BC.
