TrueVille: Law Enforcement Edition

TrueVille is Big Blue Door ’s 2017 story collection and oral history initiative asking the people of the Charlottesville to share their stories, and we’re starting with the police!

Thanks to your donations ($1800 so far) project facilitator Melissa Wender has been able to record nearly two dozen 40-minute interviews with Charlottesville and Albemarle law enforcement.

Now is crunch time! We need to get to the final goal so we can transcribe, edit, and publish the interview transcripts so that everyone has access to them! In the future we even hope to use the transcripts to stage a 1-hour play, and to air radio segments in the fall.
