The mission of Transcend Charlotte is to promote authenticity, connection, and social justice by empowering transgender and gender non-conforming individuals impacted by oppression and/or trauma.
Our goal is to support individuals who may be struggling with basic needs because of identity concerns or traumatic experiences. We seek to link people across the spectrum of gender identity and expression to promote unconditional positive regard for individual authenticity.
Your generous donation will allow us to continue this important work. Any amount you are able to give will help, however, if you are wondering what amount is appropriate, here are some suggestions:
$50 covers the cost of of a chest binder
$100 covers the cost of two sessions with a Gender Therapist (required by a doctor before starting hormones)
$250 covers the cost of bus passes to bring eight individuals to support group meetings
$500 allows us to donate one workshop to an organization that is looking to increase cultural competence
$1,000 covers the cost of two months of rent and utilities for TransCloset (a place where individuals can safely try on and take home clothes that they feel correspond with their gender identity and expression)
