Tom & Al: Raising money for Twenty10 and CoolEarth
In July 2019, two intrepid adventurers will set off on the dusty, ancient Silk Road.
From London to Mongolia, Tom and Al will be doing the Mongol Rally to raise money for CoolEarth and Twenty10.
In a 1L car bought for less than $500, we will be spending six weeks driving 15,000km, breaking down, getting lost, and eating food that makes Tom's tummy go uh-oh.
If we reach our goal of $2,000 we will get matching tattoos to celebrate (design to be confirmed)

There are only 3 rules for the Mongol Rally.
Rule one: “Small and Shit” – “You can take any car, as long as it’s crap and with an engine of 1 litre or less. For motorbikes we've generously allowed 125cc, but would prefer it to be a scooter.”
Rule two: “On your own” – “We could tell you everything you need to know about all the countries, roads and borders between here and Russia to ensure you have a safe, uncomplicated journey. But if it's not dangerous and you aren't lost, you're not on an adventure. That means no on the road backup or support.”
Rule Three: Save the world “It only seems fair that if you’re having the mother of all adventures you should give a little back.”
All the money donated to us will go to CoolEarth and Twenty10.
Twenty10 - a Sydney based service working across New South Wales, providing a broad range of specialised services for young people 12-25 including housing, mental health, counselling and social support. For adults they provide social support and for people of all ages theyoffer telephone support and webchat as the NSW provider for the national QLife project.
Cool Earth – a non-profit organisation that works directly with rainforest communities enabling them to protect their surrounding forest from commercial agriculture and extractive industries. Their approach is the most effective way to halt deforestation and climate change.
