I lost everything, PLEASE HELP.

First let me start off by saying thank you for taking the time to read my story.  This all started about 2 years ago, when I decided to move my business to a larger space. Things were going great and the business was just starting to get going, when the city business panning decided to not issue the licensing I needed for live entertainment due to a zoning issue. After trying to fight the city for the licensing, I was told that there was nothing I could do and had to shut down my business.

This was our only income. Since then I have tried to revive the business by trying to find investors for a new spot. My fiancée was pregnant with our son Connor and I had to think of something fast. You won't believe this but I did. I found a business partner that wanted to open a new lounge with me, take my successful business and expand it into a 6000 sq ft ultra lounge. I thought this would be the break I have needed because we were drowning in debt and our savings was dwindling. We started this project in July 2016 and things were going great. The space was getting built out and the lounge was coming along beautifully. All the adversity I had ran into over the last year looked like it was coming to an end. Here is a picture of what the lounge ended up looking like,

Just when I thought things were looking up, my mother ended up getting sick and was staying with me. On August 20th of 2016 I came out of my room to find my mother had passed away while watching TV in our living room, she was only 61 years of age. This was devastating to my family, and a shock to find out that the prescription drugs she had been prescribed ended up killing her.  I think that because I was working so much to get this project of the new lounge up I wasn't there for her when she needed me. I really miss my mother because she was always there for me and was helping me out all she could while I was going through tough times. Here is a picture of my son and mother. It was the last picture I was able to take of her.

I planned when I got back up on my feet to take my mothers ashes to Pismo Beach and spread them over the ocean just like my grandmother was. I figured that we could do this in the summer 2017. But while we were building out the space, I started to run into problems with my new partners. They started to try and take control of the business by making changes that didn't need to be made. Even though we had different visions for the business, we I was able to convince them otherwise and we opened in October of 2016. The place was a success and things were looking up, but the success was short lived. Even though the business was soaring and it was starting to make money, my partnership with was deteriorating. They started making decisions that were putting the business at risk, and I started to see the downfall coming. After the first 3 months of the business being open, I knew that I wanted out. I discussed being bought out of my share in the business and came to an agreement for that to happen in January. With me believing that by the end of February I would be getting bought out of my share in the business, I knew I needed a new job. I just had my son Conner and wanted to start spending more time with my family. I had been spending 12-14 hours a day at the new lounge and was neglecting my family. Thank god I have the most amazing woman by my side, raising our new little boy. She is an amazing mother and I couldn't be happier. This is when I decided to take the last of our savings we had and invest it into an invention I had been developing for months. This would allow me to spend more time at home, build a business and help her out raising my son. I sent our remaining money to a company called World Patent Marketing out of Florida. They were going to be doing an IPR report for investors, getting my invention in front of baby companies, setting up investor meetings for me, getting the CAD drawings I needed and prototyping the unit. I was beyond excited and couldn't wait to get started.

Everything looked up and then the unimaginable happened again, I lost everything in a week. The lounge that I spent 8 months and 12-14 hours a day was shut down because my old business partner ran an event that he didn't have the correct licensing for and the city shut him down. The business got hit with numerous city violations and because they were on a provisional license the city revoked them all. The business was forced to withdrawal the business applications for licensing or face thousands of dollars in fines. This completely shut down the business. What this meant for me is that I wasn't going to be bought out and wasn't going to receive any money. This really put me in a bind but even though this had happened I was still optimistic because I had set up numerous investors to invest into my invention. Then if you can't think it couldn't get any worse  it did. I hit rock bottom. In March of 2017 the company I sent the remaining money we had to was closed by the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) for fraud. That's right everything I needed to be able to pitch my product to these investors wasn't coming and I lost everything.  Here is a link to just one of the articles regarding the company that scammed me.

World Patent Marketing Scammed Millions of Dollars from Investors

The repercussions:

We were evicted from our house, my car got repossessed, my fiancée and my 1 year old son had to move in with her mother. On top of that my oldest son David Jr and myself found ourselves on the couch at a friends house. I am not one to run from adversity, and just recently I got a job back into sales. The problem with this job is that I cannot start until I pass a test for my licensing with the state and that costs about $500.00. I don't have the money. I just want to get a job and my family back but have no where to turn. That is why I am on GoFundMe.

I am missing out on my family. We are split up because she is still with my 1 year old at her moms house. I have missed out on so much over the last 3 months and I will never get this time back. My son took his first steps, said his first word, and I am not there to help my amazing woman raise our son. We were planning on getting married this year and I will do anything I can to bring my family back together.

I found a seed invest company that I wrote to waive there 2500.00 fee and let me pitch my investment to angel investors for no charge. They looked at my idea and wanted to help in anyway they could to get it started. I am super thankful for the opportunity, but now I need all the things to make that happen. Business plan, pitch deck, CAD drawings, and of course my prototype.

I also reached out to other companies with my story and they are willing to reduce there standard fees to help me. I can get this complete idea off the ground, get it invested into and get my family back but I now need your help. This isn't something that comes easy to me to do, but I have ran out of options. If you are able to help us out it would mean the world to me, my fiancée and of course to my kids. The money I am asking for will allow me to get my license, a house, get a car, and allow me to finish my invention idea. I will be working now so I will have enough to pay the bills once I get my family back together.

Thank you
