Come for the ride and join us on a special journey of 70 years of surfing in and around Lennox Head, Australia with Surfing Lennox - From Then to Now, the book.
For sale NOW at Lennox Bookmark, 66 Ballina Street, Lennox Head, Surfing Lennox - From Then to Now  is a 104 page pictorial that captures the changes to the sleepy fishing hamlet over time, from the first lone surfers entering the water, to the present day crowds attracted to the world renowned surfing destination. Beth is ready to hear from you at Lennox Bookmark, phone +61 (0) 2 6687 5273, email [email redacted] .

For over a year, with limited funding and resources, the dedicated volunteer Surfing Lennox Crew have applied our best efforts, donating time in a labour-of-love to assist the Lennox Head Heritage Committee capture and archive, before they fade, many previously unpublished images and recollections of all surfing eras.

Compiled from generous donations of images and recollections by surfers, residents and visitors, the book is a real community effort from people who love the surf and beaches in and around Lennox Head, reflecting what makes Surfing Lennox so special throughout the world.

Grants by Create NSW, the Heritage Council of NSW, Royal Australian Historical Society, Ballina Shire Council and a last minute contribution from the Office of the Premier of NSW through the good efforts of Ben Franklin, Nationals MLC and Parliamentary Secretary for Renewable Energy and Northern NSW have helped financially.

But, we are now asking for YOUR HELP PLEASE. We have a collection of valuable images just waiting to be professionally reproduced so they don't fade away. Plus a shortened e-version of the book will be professionally prepared for sharing on our webpage along with images which could not be included in the book.

We are poised atop a perfect pitching peak, all lined up and ready  for take-off. Just one more committed push for $4,954 will complete quality, professional capture of all our surfing collection.
It's your financial contributions that will ensure our combined community effort preserves and shares our valuable memories into the future.

The book covers the Lennox National Surfing Reserve (LNSR), a 'site of environmental, cultural and historical significance to the Australian surfing culture.'* The LNSR stretches from the south side of Flat Rock, north to the Lennox Head-Alstonville Surf Club.

All amounts are welcome and each donor of $80 or more will receive a first edition copy of Surfing Lennox - From Then to Now plus the original Lennox National Surfing Reserve booklet, postage included.
