Our sweet baby Imogen has Trisomy-13. This means at some point in time in the very near future, we will be saying goodbye to her. Up to this point, we have done as best as we can to take care of everything, but the time and energy is taking a toll on everyone.
Preparing for a birth and a loss at the same time has proven no easy task. It is simultaneously precious and devastating. Many of our friends and family have been very kind and supportive, and we thank you all for that, you will never know how much your kindness means to us.
As we progress down our journey, our family is facing a number of unknowns. Things we know we will need help with are transportation to and from the hospital and therapy for the family, childcare for our 5 year old son and meals for all day appointments, living arrangements while she is with us, and funeral arrangements when the time has come for us to say goodbye.
