Support Aufanua's Family

Donation protected
Our local community member, Aufanua Manusina, was placed in removal proceedings last month and deported yesterday, August 1, 2017. His detainment and removal happened quickly and before he and his family were able to get his affairs in order.

This is an especially difficult time for his family because of his financial responsibilities and young children. Aufanua was the primary financial provider and his family needs help to cover expenses until they figure out a way to make up for the lost income he provided . They need help paying for living expenses and filing fees with the immigration authorities while attempting to find a way to get him back home.

Many of you are familiar with Aufanua, his American-Samoa born wife (and US Army Veteran) Sauelelee, and their 3 US-born children (ages 5, 4 and 3). Together, Aufanua and Sauelelee rent a home in West Valley City where they raised their young family, went to church, and worked hard to provide a better life for themselves. Before his deportation, Aufanua had a work authorization card and had a full-time job. He had been employed at a local construction business for the last 4 years. Aufanua’s salary supplied their primary income and they cannot make ends meet without him. Your donation will give this family a chance to work on bringing Aufanua back home to rejoin his family and help them with living expenses while he is gone.
