Support Athens Pizza - Restaurant Fire

Athens Pizza is a staple in the Socastee community, family owned since 1986.
Tragically, the restaurant took on a serious kitchen fire late Saturday night.
The fire not only closes the restaurant for most of a busy December, but it is also the holiday season and this leaves several loyal employees, (8), to struggle over the next few weeks, losing tips and lost income.
Georgia and her family have been extremely generous to this community over the past few decades.
While no one is keeping track, I would still like to share the fact that Athens has donated to so many over the years. Giving food and money to schools and charitable organizations around the area and feeding flood victims.
Athens has offered the restaurant to First Responders for every catastrophe this area has seen. While she took care of them with food and a dry place, they used the dining area for their emergency management meetings.
They have stayed open for the Socastee community during hurricanes and floods, (thankfully due to their gas ovens). Residents of Socastee and the surrounding area know when the power is out, that Athens will still be open.
It is hard to put a price tag on the needs of the Athens family, but I started this Go Fund Me to help with basically everything else that insurance doesn't cover, which includes lost sales. We all know insurance only covers so much.
Georgia and her family would never ask for anything, which is why I decided to start this fundraiser for them. They give what they have cheerfully and with no strings attached.
The Athens family has given so much to the community, I thought we should show them our support.
On a side note: We hope to get this out to the news stations to find out who the brave individual was that called the fire in. The Fire Dept. said that had the fire not been reported when it was, the entire plaza was at risk for being blown up from the gas. We would like that individual to come forward so that we may thank him or her.
Thank you for reaching into your pockets during this holiday season. It is a time for giving and we thank you so much for helping us get Athens back on their feet. They will be back to serving you in no time!
