Students with Standing Rock

For those who are not aware, in Standing Rock, North Dakota there is currently a direct attack on the Native Americans, the well being of this planet, and the lives of millions of people who depend upon the Missouri/Mississippi River for water. An oil company is trying to construct a 3.8 billion dollar pipeline through the Northern Region of the Missouri/Mississippi River just outside of the Sioux Tribe Reservation that can potentially pollute the only fresh water source for the entire Sioux tribe and 60+ million other people. 

6 students that attend Salve Regina in Rhode Island want to go up to North Dakota during their winter break vacation and partake in the protests because this is something they are all passionate about.

With the help of all those who choose to donate, you can help them be a part of a cause that is much bigger than all of us. You can help be on the right side of history and put an end to the mistreatment of Native Americans, corporate greed, fossil fuels, and the degradation of the planet.  

Your donation will go towards the following:
-blankets
-handwarmers
-jackets
-beanies/hats
-gloves
-sleeping bags
-tents
-non-parishables
     -Ramen
     -Beef Jerky
     -Dried Fruits and Nuts
     -Instant Soups
     -Crackers
     -anything that can/will provide individuals with an adequate diet that involves little to no cooking

**all of the items listed will be bought in surplus to provide as much as possible for the full-time water protectors and Native Americans

Together we can put an end to the problems stated above. All it takes is one positive action to spark a nationwide change. Lets be the start of that change and lay the foundation for years to come. Together, lets put an end to corporate greed and take a stand for Native Americans, sustainable energy, and more importantly our planet and all of humanity.
