This is a very simple proposition. I'm a lifelong Progressive, and been involved in Georgia Liberal politics for over 10 years - and an activist in Atlanta for the past 3.  My family was involved in organizing the textile industry in North Carolina in the 30's. I understand the Political Revolution. And I am deeply concerned about America's course as a nation and what we will leave for the next generation. I met Sanders over two years ago here in Atlanta, knew he was warming up to run and if he did, that he could change America. I've been supporting him ever since.

I sought and won the lone male delegate position for the 11th District (Cobb, Fulton, Bartow, Cherokee) because I believed it was important to have Georgia Progressives represented by someone that wouldn't back down or back up at the Convention. It's expensive to go and I'm living on a small fixed income, so I took the chance hoping I might have some public support from people like you.

I'm not comfortable asking people for money - and I decided early on to plan an 'economy' excursion... I'm driving up, will find cheap, shared accommodation including camping if necessary, and otherwise minimize the costs. So I set the maximum budget for $2,500, or about half of what the DNC suggests delegates budget.

But I also plan on making the most of it. There is an important conference for Progressives on Saturday, major demonstrations to protest the TPP, and of course Convention sessions M-Th. If there is another Progressive meeting to recap on Friday, I'll find a way to stay for that as well. I'll do my best to post news and commentary on FB daily, as time permits. 

Thanks for all your support, financial and otherwise. If ever there was democracy in action, this is it. Not exactly what the establishment envisioned, but what the People are demanding. Wish me luck!
