Standing Rock Front Line Defenders

Doug Good Feather, from the Standing Rock Lakota Nation in North Dakota, is the spiritual leader of the Lakota Way, a Colorado a 501(c)3 non-profit and its sister company, Spirit Horse Nation, LLC, a human rights and environmental protection organization. Good Feather leads a strong community of earth protectors from all over the world and we're raising money to keep our warriors traveling to-and-from the Standing Rock / Dakota Access Pipeline non-violent direct action in North Dakota. Winter has set in and front line defenders are needed now, more than ever.
#IStandWithStandingRock is a complex issue - it's not just an environmental issue in the middle of nowhere over a fracked crude oil transportation pipeline. It's also about corrupt politics serving their oil and gas contributors instead of American families and unjust law enforcement blatantly violating Human Rights with impunity.

Imagine militarized police with shotguns and mace crashing through the front doors of your grandmother's church and dragging her out by her feet into the parking lot, then throwing her into a van - taking her to another city without you knowing where they're taking her - then taking throwing her into a makeshift dog kennel without food or contact or legal representation. This is not a story, this is what is happening right here in North Dakota. And, it's not just one grandmother, it's hundreds of people.

Where's the US Government? How can this be legal? How many letters to a failed Congress do we have to write? How many marches with tens of thousands of people do we have to organize? How many non-violent demonstrations do we need to hold and get arrested for? How many millions of people need to sign petitions? What can be done when those that are elected and paid to serve and protect us rule with tyranny and act with injustice?

Well, that's where we come in. We're regular, everyday people that hear the clarion call to stand against those that defile Mother Earth for profit and oppress the rights and welfare of it's citizens.  The perpetrators - the politicians and police - get paid to dispense their injustice and tyranny, but the rest of us don't have that luxury. The earth protectors in our community leave their families, burn through their vacation, use their personal savings accounts, use their saved up holiday time, endure adverse travel and weather conditions -- yet we continue to donate our time, money, resources even though household budgets are tight. It's extremely hard, but we must stand up nonetheless and that's why we're raising money.


Our little community of earth protectors raises and donates tens of thousands of dollars in money for Standing Rock and other human rights and environmental injustices. We spend thousands of unpaid hours supporting and standing against tyranny with non-violent direct action on the front lines - risking our lives for others that can't or won't. Recently, our young journalist sister was shot by a militarized law enforcement deputy with a non lethal assault shotgun for interviewing a water protector. Unbelievably, journalists, photographers and documentary film makers are being assaulted and arrested for documenting and reporting on the crimes and atrocities against citizens and the environment.

There's thousands of instances of corrupt politicians, unjust law enforcement and morally bankrupt fracking and crude oil companies perpetrating human and environmental crimes here at Standing Rock every single day. 

Good Feather has a team of experienced non-violent direct action human rights and environmental warriors, including himself, on the front lines of the Dakota Access Pipeline in Standing Rock.

Our community has been in a constant rotation of sending earth protectors to Standing Rock to perform our Mission:

+ We are here to stand against and document these crimes so they are not lost to history.
+ We are here to help usher in a new era of awareness of Native American indigenous people and issues.
+ We are here to help magnify the discussion we're having as a human race about a new mindset of abundant free energy.
+ We are here to keep shining the light on the evils being done by unjust law enforcement, corrupt politicans and criminal corporations.

But, our organization is financially struggling - this conflict is drawing out and we're now into a long, cold winter. We do a lot of fund raising, then come back to Standing Rock and we repeat this over and over. But, it's not enough. Everyone in our group has jobs, family and bills and already gives everything they can. This movement is being largely led by our women and youth leaders - and they are willing to do even more - but we sincerely need $$$ help.
