Senior Center: Spring In Your Step

The Senior Center in Fayetteville, AR serves the entire Northwest Arkansas aging community. One of the major ways they accomplish this is through their Meals on Wheels Program. In 2016, this program provided over 41,771 meals to home-bound seniors in this community for no cost to the individual. Each of these meals cost over $7 to prepare and deliver.
Arkansas ranks #1 in food insecurity for the elderly. In response to this, Meals on Wheels is an extremely valuable program that helps meet the needs of many elderly individuals in the community. A group of social work students have decided to come alongside this program for a class project to raise money for Meals on Wheels and help sustain the program.
If you could consider donating any amount to help provide a meal, our class, and the senior citizens served through Meals on Wheels, would greatly appreciate it.
Money is not the only way to help serve and we also would love if you decided to volunteer at the Senior Center or with their Meals on Wheels Program and can help provide additional information to help you set that up!
To end this fundraising opportunity, we have decided to hold a dance at the Fayetteville Senior Center called Spring In Your Step at 6pm on April 20th! All are welcome to join to see exactly what your donations are helping to fund for a night of food (provided by Grubs, Gusanos, and Mojos), music, dancing, games, and fun!
