The K-9 Sgt. Sean M. Gannon Memorial Playground

Donation protected
The Campbell School PTO’s major current project is a new playground for Campbell students. Since last September, the PTO has begun to raise funds for a new playground that will be a great addition to the schoolyard and athletic fields at Campbell, expected to be completed this Fall . On May 14, the New Bedford School Committee unanimously voted to name the school playground after Sgt. Sean M. Gannon, a New Bedford native who died tragically in the line of duty as a police officer in Yarmouth, Mass. Sean grew up across the street from Campbell, and his parents still live there as neighbors to our school. On their vote to name the future playground after Sgt. Gannon, Mayor Mitchell noted that Sean is someone all students can look up to – and we believe there is no one more worthy of this tribute. Please join us in supporting the Sgt. Sean M. Gannon Memorial Playground at Campbell School.
