Seiling New Fire Truck

Donation protected
Friday, April 13th the state of Oklahoma declared a state of Emergency for several counties in the western portion of the state, due to the outbreak of multiple wildfires. The flames burned over 200,000 acres of farmland, and forced the evacuation of thousands of residents from their homes near Seiling, Vici, and Woodward.

The Seiling Fire department has been working tirelessly throughout the crisis. However, two of the organization's vehicles are out of commission, and they are asking for monetary donations to help with replacement costs, as the purchase of new fire trucks and equipment can easily exceed $100-300k.

From the Seiling Fire Department Facebook Page  :

"Thursday night we lost our new tanker. Everyone is fine and the truck can be repaired, but it is out of service. Thursday night a semi decided to turn around in the middle of highway 60 between Seiling and Vici. In the process the semi got stuck crossways in the road. The white cargo trailer blended in perfectly with the smoke in the area and by the time it was seen, the tanker could not stop. We were lucky in that things could have been a lot worse and the front bumper did its job."
