Educate and Feed Untouchable India

$4,808 of $8,000 goal

Raised by 33 people in 10 months
Dalit, is a term for a group of people traditionally regarded as Untouchable in the Indian caste system. It means "oppressed" in Sanskrit and "broken/scattered" in Hindi and has become a political term embraced by the many members of Untouchable castes across India to signify their pride and defiance in the face of the Caste system.

My friend and former professor Ashok Malhotra Phd, who is originally from India created a foundation that fights the injustice of the antiquated caste system of India. Ashok and his wife Linda have done amazing things for more than 1700 of these youths. They built 7 rural schools and fund their teachers, admin and school lunches via donations.  They are now celebrating their first students to go through their schools and go on to get Doctorate level degrees In medicine, engineering and other areas.

Their marketing is done in house and needs a facelift. Dr Malhotra has asked me to help. Here is a note from Dr Malhotra.

" Hi Sean
Nice talking to you today! We need your talent to advertise the Ninash Foundation's work toward educating the female and minority children of India with a special case of Sakuba who is handicapped from birth.

Thanks again for your help!

Ashok"

I am raising money to help go to India and photograph the children formerly known as "untouchables"  at the Ninash.org schools in an effort to help make their marketing for donations more powerful and effective.

I will be traveling this December 2018 into early 2019 and visiting the 7 schools that serve nearly 1700 disadvantaged and hopeful young Indians who dream of a better life. My job is to make photographs that will create a  significantly more effective website for Ninash.org.

Donating here will help these 1700 girls and minority children gain attention and future funding with the addition of significantly more effective marketing for Ninash and the underpriveleged children that it represents.

We will use the funds for me and one assistant to pay for:
-airfare
-travel
-lodging
-food
-equipment rental
-all productions costs

Your donations are highly appreciated by me and more importantly the young students served by Ninash who dream of a better life. They will always feel the gratitude in their hearts of your financial help. Your donation brings them a little closer to that dream of being a part of a decent humanity.

TAX DEDUCTION

Donations can be made directly to Ninash.org if you want a tax deduction.  Just hit the donate button and make sure and send a separate email to Ninash.org stating that the donation is for Sean's photo program.

Your kindness shows. You gave and it pays to give. After all, love is giving. If you give it right, it bounces off what you give it to and hits you back in the face really, really hard!
We took your kind donations. We went to India, we traveled 24,400 miles in 23 days and shot over 11,000 still photos and gathered around 150 video and sound bites. We're currently working with a crew of web builders out east and are building Ninash.org a new website. There's a small movie in the works and today we will release the last of 3 Facebook posts and then we'll begin the Instagram feed. Then, my favorite part, we will start to release the stock photography from the towns and villages that we visited.
This project was sublime and has changed us for the better. Indians are happy, they are kind, and for the most part, healthy. What we thought would be hard to see, was a pleasure and reminds us of what matters in life, love and accomplishment are what matters. You accomplished something beautiful here with us and we thank you very sincerely and with all that we have. : )
Much love good people. Watch us at Facebook and instagram as
