*UPDATE: 8/12/16*

Dear gracious community members,

9 Central St. on the 4th floor is open, thanks to you!

If you have 5 minutes, please visit this poll to give us some feedback and keep in touch.

Small grassroots community groups or as ad hoc processing and planning groups are always invited to join the collaborative by optional donation to start. Individuals interested in giving feedback or helping generate ideas for potential events and workshops can do so by filling out that poll.

We hope you will consider becoming a collaboration member with the LJC through $10+ a month, or an equivalent of what the space is worth to you. Consider joining the Merrimack Valley Time Exchange and we can make trades. Requests for ideas, speakers and support at some workshops and events will be announced through the MVTE network, as well as online.

Recurring monthly donors should be made through the new website (PayPal or Credit card). It is under construction (not pretty) but the Contribution page is live.

**HELP US SECURE OUR LEASE - DEADLINE IS AUGUST 1st!

We are Lowell’s only grassroots collaborative organizing space**

The Lowell Justice Collaborative (formerly Last Line Lowell) is the Merrimack River Valley's newest public access activist headquarters in downtown Lowell, and we are broke. Not broke in the sense that we spent all our money. We're broke in the sense that we never had any money to begin with. That's why we need your help.

Though new to the scene, the Lowell Justice Collaborative - affectionately known to many simply as "Headquarters" or “HQ” - is a busy place seven days a week. Home to the Activate Lowell live video podcast and the social justice and black liberation history library, HQ serves as regular host to recurring organizational meetings, free public educational events and film screenings, as well as an operational planning center for City Hall protests, climate activism, memorials for victims of injustice, and working-class agitation. Among those who call HQ home are courageous activists who travel far and wide, using their bodies to stop bomb trains in Albany and natural gas pipelines in West Roxbury.
Located at 9 Central Street in downtown Lowell, we seek to provide a safe space for grassroots community organizers of all backgrounds. By building a central activist hub in the heart of the Mill City, we hold space for community partners and residents to speak their minds, be heard in a respectful and compassionate environment, and together decide what action steps can be made for positive change.

Founding and partner organizations include 350MA of Greater Lowell, Socialist Alternative, Community Advocates for Justice and Equality (CAJE), Litter Free Lowell, and more are always welcome.

To date, we have managed the rent through individual member donations (averaging $30 each), but with growing partnerships, we’ll be approaching sponsors and grant funding. What we need from you is to help us fund that transition.

No matter where you live, if any of this sounds good to you, lend us a hand. Even if it's just a single buck. Every little bit helps us provide space for the community to make change possible.
