Santa Fund for David

I'm a reporter and this is a story that touched my heart.
Watch his full story here.

I met David on Dec. 15 and he is the sweetest young man you'll ever meet. His Christmas spirit is unwavering and it truly makes you believe too. His family is going through a hard time since they moved to South Carolina.

David is 29 years old and has Pervasive Developmental Disorder, which is a high functioning form of Autism.  His mother, Suzette, says he has the mental capacity of a 10-year-old. Suzette is now on disability because she’s suffering from seizures, and they’re living in an extended stay hotel. David's close friend passed away in the past couple months and he's been having to deal with that.  She says their entire life has changed and she’s struggling to find the Christmas spirit.

Suzette contacted groups like the Salvation Army, Angel Tree, even churches for help to make Christmas special for her children, but there’s one problem-- the age limit for the children they accept.  Suzette says her 3-year-old daughter was accepted with no problem, but because David is older, they can't provide anything for him.

Christmas is one of David’s favorite holidays and he knows the true magic Christmas holds. I am hoping we can keep the spirit of Christmas alive for him and get him something special for the holidays. When we were doing the story we asked him to make a Christmas list for Santa. One of the items is an Xbox One. Help keep Santa alive for a very deserving man.
