Sandra's help

Donation protected
They say that if you have a friend for seven years, you have a life-long friend. Sandra and I have been friends since before high school...we'll just say that its been more than seven years times five, or six maybe. Suffice it to say, we've known each other for many years.
Each of us have had our ups and downs, and each time, we were there for each other, and have helped where we could.

This year, oh this year has had its share of nastiness. I've seen some tough stuff going on in my end of the Country, culminating with Hurricane Harvey. Sandra? It's been worse.

This year has seen her fighting health problems that were so severe that she had to quit her job in May. Since then, she has been in and out of medical care, depleting all of her saved funds. She has also been working toward an appeal for disability, has gone before a judge, who has declared that it will take five months or longer to make a decision.
To make matters worse, her roommate has left everything behind and has left her with the entire expense of rent and utilities. She and he had an agreement, but he left her high and dry. She has enough for rent this month, but that's it.

Folks, this lady would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She helped to get an army Sargent's dog to him when they had to leave her behind because she lacked a titer. It took four months, but the Sargent and his dog were reunited in South Korea. She has been instrumental in so many people's assistance in so many ways, now she needs our help.

The funds needed will get her rent out of the way for five months, the amount of time the judge said it would take to make a decision on the disabilty.  The sooner the funds start coming in, the sooner we can set her mind at ease, as she believes that even putting a Christmas tree up is a moot point if she's going to be homeless in three weeks.

This woman means the world to me. If moving her to my city would help, I would have done it long ago, but with the disability decision, and her doctors, it would endanger what she has been working toward, and she would have to establish a whole new set of doctors. I can only help so much, but I need help helping her. Won't you please consider helping my Best Friend? Every little bit will help, and all will be put toward her rent.
