Saiveon Jackson Atlanta Trip

Donation protected
A Douglas Byrd High School Student, Saiveon Jackson, started his summer by going out to do the “Wright” thing. Jackson was walking around the Brookshire neighborhood with his cousin AJ, looking for lawns to cut for cash this summer. Jackson found a wallet on the side of the road and checked it for the owner’s identification. He located a local church’s card in the wallet and reached out via Facebook. Through social media, Jackson was able to contact the victim, Mr. Donte' Wise. Sheriff’s Office Detectives assisted in getting Wise his wallet and very important contents back. Detectives were contacted because the wallet was stolen during a vehicle break-in.

Mr. Jackson is trying to raise money to pay for a trip to Atlanta, Georgia with the Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). The trip will be next weekend and the total cost is $300. We want to raise $1,000.00 for this young man because he has performed a noble deed. We just don't want to pay for the trip, but bless him. He has blessed my family for returning my wallet, so let us all bless him for being a upright community member with integrity.

We are so thankful for community members who watch out for one another and #DoTheWrightThing!

Sheriff Wright visited Jackson and gave him a Sheriff's Office challenge coin for his efforts in returning the wallet.
