Sahnish Scouts seek Justice!
Donation protected
Hi. My name is Lissa Yellowbird Chase and this is the week I’ve been waiting for! Four years ago a young man named KC Clarke went missing near my home town in the oil fields of North Dakota. Even though I never met KC during his life, the story of his disappearance touched me. I began to search for him, to ask questions, to make connections and to demand action from law enforcement. Now, four years later, his murderer will stand trial in Richland, WA and I want to attend this bittersweet event.
I have dedicated countless volunteer hours to searching for those who go missing in the North Dakota oil fields at my own expense. To learn more about what I do, you can read this article written by Al Jazeera America: http://projects.aljazeera.com/2015/07/yellowbird/.
I invite you to join my fight for justice by supporting me in my travels from North Dakota to Washington State to witness the murder trial of James Hendrikson. I am able to make generous donations of time to search for the missing even though they are strangers, and now it is on the generous donations of strangers that I must rely. I have taken two weeks off (without pay) at my job and am in need of travel and lodging expenses to be there.
In order to be accountable for expenses I will post all expense receipts on the Sahnish Scouts of North Dakota facebook page for complete transparency and any leftover money will be put into the kitty for supplies for the work we do in the future.
Thank you for joining me in my quest for justice.
