Ride for Our Soldiers 2016

Tax deductible

My name is Tricia, and in January 2017, I’m going to pedal 12 times around Oahu in honor of the 12 Marines who died in a helicopter crash during a training mission off the island’s North Shore on January 14th.  My goal is to raise enough to sponsor up to 12 service dogs for veterans fighting PTSD every day, at $15,000 each.  K9s For Warriors does the hard work, which is to find, train, and pair up service dogs (90% of whom are rescue dogs) with veterans, helping them return to civilian life with dignity and independence.  I can't join the Marines, since I don't have a left hand, so join me in saving our wounded warriors instead.

“Who Rescued Who? Meet The Shelter Dogs Saving Veterans’ Lives…
’Fourteen medications did nothing to help his symptoms, and, worst of all, he was constantly contemplating taking his own life. [And then, he met Captain, his service dog.] In the video below, veteran Randy speaks directly to his dog, thanking him for saving his own life, his marriage and enriching his children’s lives.’”

’I thought suicide was the answer…[then I met Molly, my service dog, and] I cried, it was a sense of joy and a sense of relief of like 'oh my God this is my partner now.’”
