I'm performing from my home in Kirkcaldy, a selection of Christmas songs in the style of famous jazz pianists, for Kirkcaldy Foodbank, SC044446 on Friday Dec 11 at 7pm.
Despite lockdown, I have managed to keep working from home and this is an opportunity for me to give something back to the community for all the support I receive in my work with Fife Youth Jazz Orchestra, St Andrews University, Radio Scotland and Abbotshall Church.
The concert will be streamed on my Facebook Page and You Tube channel and will include carols such as 'Ding Dong Merrily" "God Rest Ye", "Deck the Hall" and as many as I can play in an hour, paying tribute to Fats Waller, Dave Brubeck and Count Basie.
I guarantee - no schmalz! Just some of my favourite Christmas tunes, played not as you might expect!
