My husband and I did personally reward Kate for her actions, and for taking such amazing care of our son this past year. Someone we don't even know asked if he could donate money to Kate GoFundME
for a "night out on the town," hence the original $200 goal. We had no idea that this story was going to go viral the way it has, and certainly didn't intend for this "reward" campaign to become such a source of contention. We love Kate and she is part of our family--I assure you that she knows this. If you feel compelled to donate, that's great! If not, that's cool, too!
Kate Anderson not only takes amazing care of my son, but bravely chased down a thief who was stealing from our front porch and restrained her until the police came. She’s truly a modern-day hero and deserves a reward for her admirable actions.
