Reston Merchants for Free Parking!
The merchants of Reston Town Center have banded together to stop RTC from charging customers to park in the Town Center. For decades, parking has been free, enabling everyone to enjoy shopping, eating and the entertainment offered at this community gathering place.
Paid parking is destroying the fabric of the town we’ve all enjoyed for decades, ruining Reston’s reputation for community and driving away business.
While claiming paid parking is primarily to disuade metro commuters, RTC stated to its shareholders that paid parking would bring in $8 million a year in revenue.

The core merchant group of Reston Town Center is now asking corporate tenants in the RTC office space, our merchant colleagues whose corporate restrictions may prevent them from formally joining us, and the Reston community as a whole to help support our cause.
Contributions will help fund legal counsel as well as publicity and marketing efforts in the fight against the landlord's profiteering.
Our core merchant group has already made significant financial contributions, but we can’t do it all on our own.
If you live, work or play in Reston, please contribute to the fight!
