Replace burned ramp build shop
Neighborhood Helpers is an all-volunteer interdenominational Christian Ministry dedicated to helping our neighbors when they are unable to help themselves due to health, physical condition or finances. The primary focus of this ministry is to design and build handicap ramps for our neighbors with limited mobility issues. A March 26 fire destroyed our Soddy-Daisy, TN ramp module fabrication shop and contents (tools, lumber, hardware, etc.). This set-back has occurred at a time when requests for handicap ramp assistance have increased and our backlog is growing. All of us on our construction crew receive a blessing by helping meet our neighbor's mobility needs. It is disappointing to be hindered from completing this service we have been called to provide.
The fire chief has estimated that $20,000 will be needed for construction material and equipment to replace our fabrication shop. We have already had offers from the community to help with fire damage clean-up and shop rebuild. As soon as enough funding is available to purchase material for the first construction phase, we will expedite replacement of our facility needed to help solve our mobility limited neighbor's home access problems. Thanks for whatever financial assistance you are able to share to help us meet this need.
