Protect Vacation Rentals in Palm Springs

We are a group of seven Palm Springs homeowners who have been unwittingly drawn into a legal battle between The City of Palm Springs and a group that seeks to shut down all vacation rentals in the area.

Not satisfied with the significant restrictions already imposed upon vacation rentals in Palm Springs, and in spite of the clear will expressed by voters just last year with the resounding defeat of Measure C, the group has filed multiple lawsuits against the city to block homeowners from responsibly renting out their own homes.
In an attempt to make their latest suit more complex - and more painful for homeowners - they have drawn a handful of us into it, by name, and asked a judge to revoke our lawfully obtained permits. They are starting with us, but the goal is clear: to end all vacation rentals in Palm Springs. They're not going to stop here - unless we stop them.
This is where we need your help.
While the city is vigorously defending itself in this suit, it has elected not to represent the homeowners ensnared through no fault of our own - leaving us to obtain separate representation at our own expense. We are protecting not just our individual property rights, but the rights of all homeowners in Palm Springs. If we lose this fight, this group will be emboldened as it moves on to the next, much larger, group of homeowners.
So we are asking homeowners, local businesses, and anyone concerned about the viability and vibrancy of Palm Springs as a vacation destination to help cover the cost imposed on a small group of homeowners by this litigation.
All contributions will be applied directly to legal bills from our attorney, and any funds raised in excess of those bills will be refunded.
