FIRE Project Ghana - A pen, pencil or an exercise book might not be much to you, but it is everything to some of the children in the village of Lolito, Ghana who usually walk 2-5 miles to and back from school because their parents can’t afford public transportation.
This summer, I am leading a team to Ghana, West Africa to go empower the children at Lolito Primary School by providing every child with a school supplies set (including pens, pencils, exercise books, eraser, etc.). The purpose of our trip is to go make a difference in the lives of these children and empower them to study/learn. We are very excited to make this leap from Iowa City/Coralville, IA all the way to Ghana, West Africa to serve, but we need your help!

F.I.R.E (Friends In Relationship Eternally) is the junior and senior high youth group of New Life Community Church in Coralville, IA. Our mission is to serve the community and welcome all youth from different walks of life. We do this by sharing meals, having fun Bible discussions, building friendship through many activities, leadership training, and most importantly serving our community through volunteer work.
Our community work ranges from volunteering at elderly homes playing music or helping retired people to serving lunch at the free lunch program. Our “FIRE” burns when we work together as a group to make others smile.
