So here’s the lowdown.....We’re having a baby!!! As I’m sure you already know;-)
So why are we fund-raising? watch the video below!
This is my second time around this giving birth rodeo. When I gave birth to Tyler, it was a very traumatic experience. I laboured for 3 days and was in active labour for 36 hours and had complications from the medical intervention I got for 2 years afterwards.
Given all my health problems in the last couple of years and being told that I would never conceive again, we really do consider this a miracle.
I am however filled with with a lot fear and anxiety from my past traumatic birth experience.
For this second pregnancy, we have been doing a lot of research into ways we can have a more positive and natural birth. Some of the methods we are looking into are hypnobirthing, water birth and most importantly having the support of a doula during the labour and birth process.

We have been so lucky and blessed to already have a lot of the essential baby stuff that we need. So we are asking you our dear friends to help us with acquiring a doula.
Any of my friends that know me very well, know that me even setting up this fund is going so far out of my comfort zone it’s unreal. Eek! I am not usually one for allowing myself to be vulnerable, but in this instance, this is so important to me/us that I can’t not do it.
We ask that if you are attending our baby shower instead of getting us baby presents or any gifts, if you could instead consider donating towards our Doula fund. And if you just want to support, that’s appreciated as well. Your help and support is much appreciated and every little helps.
You can still show us support by just sharing this, even if you can’t help us in a monetary way. That too would mean a lot to us:-)
