Help Justin Russell beat Trigeminal Neuralgia fund

My Trigeminal Neuralgia story:

Hello, my name is Justin Russell. This is my fund for my ongoing 5 year battle against Trigeminal Neuralgia that has left me permanently disabled. I have been battling what doctors say is "the most painful disease known to man", Trigeminal Neuralgia since 2016. This came as a result of a bad car wreck in August of 2016 that I was not at fault for that severely strained my entire neck and spine. It is also called the "suicide pain", because the pain can become so extremely unbearable that some people end their own lives to escape the pain. I have had two failed brain surgeries, one in 2018, and one in 2019. The left side of my head is about 15% permanently numb for the rest of my life and each brain surgery causes more numbness alongside other numerous risks that come with brain surgery such as blindness, deafness, and loss of motor function to name a few. I have tried multiple medications and treatments to try to cure the pain, but they didn't work. Since 2019, I have had two more brain surgeries, a radial ablation in 2020 and also a cyberknife radiation surgery in 2022. Both of those surgeries also failed and now I am going to need at least a 5th brain surgery if not more, in addition to experimental procedures as well.

Brain surgery and oral surgery is only done in severe cases like mine so surgery is my only option. Any surgery isn’t 100% guaranteed to cure me, but it’s definitely my best hope. There are different kinds of Trigeminal Neuralgia and the kind that I have is atypical meaning that the nerve pain is present all day long even with pain medicine. I am in constant agonizing debilitating levels of pain that I have to fight through each day with a multitude of different medicines and pure willpower. Things have gotten so bad that I can barely get out of my bed to take care of myself and my cats as my health is deteriorating rapidly. I also have Crohn’s disease and high blood pressure which also has worsened greatly due to the high stress and pain. In addition, My mother passed away in 2010 (42) and father in 2017 (49) due to multiple failing health issues over the years of which they finally succumbed to, so I don’t have any help financially. I have a high number of other health problems as well, I am managing those as best as I can on a day to day basis.

Applying for disability: I am no longer able to work and I am waiting to get on disability income, but that process takes a very long time. The donations will also give me the time I need to get on disability for a stable income once approved and I will also be eligible for back pay.

Where will the donations go? Donations will go towards my ongoing medical bills and living expenses. I am in immediate need of donations as I am behind on all of my bills. Currently, I still owe thousands of dollars to multiple doctors for previous surgeries, procedures, and tests for costs that my insurance wouldn't cover. My car broke down recently and I had no choice but to take out over $6,000 worth of loans in order to get it repaired as I have to have transportation to and from my all of my doctor's appointments, surgeries, procedures, and tests. So donations will also go towards getting those loans paid off so I don't have that to worry about in addition to everything else.

My baby cats Harley Quinn and Joker: Donations will also go towards food and litter for my two beloved cats Harley Quinn and Joker. They are my whole world and have been there for me through this entire process and I wouldn’t of made this far without their unconditional love and support. They recently saw the vet and were given a clean bill of health so are fine there, but they do need their yearly shots and vaccines, which I currently don't have the money for. Once I have enough money in donations I will get them to the vet right away and get that taken care of.
