TLDR: Taxes, back child support and overall bills are killing us and making it hard to get our daughter back. Anything will help, anything at all.
Here's the best I can say in as short a time as possible. Due to a hospital actively ignoring our daughter being premature and not taking her pre-existing medical condition into account, they assumed neglect on her inhaling a bit of milk during feeding. They took 4 days to determine she got pneumonia and wouldn't let us feed, change or handle her throughout the initial process. I lost my job due to focusing on our daughter's hospitalization, which caused me and my wife to spend a lot of time in the hospital room looking for work.
The hospital determined we were not paying any attention to her and assumed we were playing video games instead. They contacted DHS and claimed we lived in poor housing conditions, neglected and abused our daughter, and refused to ever give us paperwork, update us on her condition or ask for signatures during her hospitalization.
DHS, now involved, had us go through the process of putting our daughter in guardianship care and made some fair demands of keeping work for 6 months, take parenting classes, have fair housing conditions (of which they claimed we were fine) and pay child support for 6 months. After 7 months of working with them, they attempted to take our daughter before we issued paperwork on a temporary guardianship with my wife's parents.
Every 2 well pay period we are left with $200 to go through our daily lives and can't afford to even fix our car or ac unit in our trailer. This is due to the back taxes we owe from a previous employer not filing our paperwork right, bills (including hospital bills,) and back child support. We are asking for any help, whatever the amount, so we can get through the summer and see our daughter more often until we get her back.
