Operation Share the Load 2017

In 2012 I started Operation Share the Load with the help of my family. We lived in a hotel for 6 weeks while our new home was being built, and so we had to wash our clothing at a laundromat.
I met many families with van loads of clothes, and they could only afford to wash their clothes once a month. Sometimes they couldn't wash all of their clothes.
NO FAMILY SHOULD HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN CLEAN CLOTHES OR FOOD ON THE TABLE!
I told my parents I wanted to pay for laundry for everyone at the laundromat, and with their help we started giving families free laundry on National Make a Difference Day. In 2017 my program was recognized with two national awards for helping families in need.
100% of your donations go to families in need. Whatever fees we pay to share on social media, my parents match so that all of the money you give to this cause goes directly to families in need.
My partner this year is IMPACT! in Iowa, a registered 501c program designed to help families with food, shelter, clothing, and now laundry supplies and quarters.
Thank you for your support. National Make a Difference Day is on October 28th 2017. Thank you for helping to make, "The little project that could" grow into a multi-state helper with national attention. I hope to see you out making a difference this October too!
