OB Graffiti Task Force
Donation protected
The Ocean Beach (San Diego) Graffiti Task Force was formed in 2015 by a group of volunteers who are passionate about keeping graffiti and gang-tags from marring our seawalls, sandstone, canyons, and coastline along Sunset Cliffs.
Our crew reports new tags daily and paints them out within hours. We accomplish this via donations to cover the cost of paint, supplies and equipment.
We have successfully driven down crime by keeping the beautiful coast free of gang-signs.
We have successfully caught nearly a dozen taggers in the act and have had them arrested and prosecuted.
The Ocean Beach Graffiti Task Force was also recently recognized for its efforts during the annual Ocean Beach Town Council OBie Awards dinner in October 2016.
Awards given to the Ocean Beach Graffiti Task Force:
-2016 Community Partner Award from the OBMA
-Clean Beaches Award by Senator Marty Block
-Special Commendation from SD City Council Member Lori Zapf
-Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition by Scott Peters, Member of Congress, 52nd District, California.
-Certificate of Recognition, Clean Beaches Award from San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer

We live along one of the most treasured places on Earth, and are dedicated to keeping Ocean Beach and Sunset Cliffs as nature intended. The stretch of coastline south of the infamous Ocean Beach Pier all the way to Sunset Cliffs Park has long been a target for taggers. Since we have been vigilante with our actions, we've gone from wall-to-wall tags/graffiti to periods of up to 2 weeks without a tag. We have accomplished this through a team of dedicated volunteers who check the cliffs-and parks- daily, report and paint over tags before they attract more.

Any and all donations go directly to cover the cost of paintbrushes, paint, rollers, and needed equipment.
We are 100% transparent with our funds and are happy to share details of our financials.
We also have a Facebook page for members to report and coordinate paint-out efforts.
Thank you for your support! Even a $5.00 donation goes a long way to keep us up and running!
Peace, love and respect OB.
