OANC-SSC Camp Fire Relief

On November 8th, 2018 came the unruly, devastating Paradise Camp Fire. In a matter of minutes, the lives of our community have been changed forever.
We are reaching out to our business relations, friends, and family with the initiative to help bring back hope to our staff that have been so highly affected by the Paradise Camp Fire. Our first goal is to provide funds to our staff members who need immediate help with temporary housing. Additional immediate needs include gas cards, clothing and the bare necessities.
Between our two facilities, Orthopedic Associates of Northern California and Skyway Surgery Center, combined 23 members of our staff have lost everything. We are so thankful they all were able to get out with their lives. Additionally, we had many staff whose families lost everything. The impact of our staff taking in families has been a blessing, but also as one might imagine, very stressful with many living in very tight quarters and little means. Orthopedic Associates also had a satellite office in Paradise which helped serve our surrounding rural health community needs. Oddly enough it is the only building left standing in the local vicinity; however, it has suffered both structural and smoke damage. Nevertheless, there is not a community left to serve.
Housing in our area has been consumed as the outcome of the Camp Fire continues to unfold. Many are commuting from nearby towns to ensure they can continue working. Unfortunately, our nearby towns have limited to no housing available, making the future even more uncertain for everyone impacted.

We are looking forward to providing gas cards, lodging and most of all dispersing your donations by means of cashiers checks to help these families get on their feet! Our goal is to fill 2019 with hope so our team members that lost everything can continue to rebuild and move forward.
